Registration

Registration Policy for the academic year 2024/2025

New Students:

Admission averages for the new students of the National and International programs:

National Program

  • Grade 7th – 10th: Admission Average 60% or above.
  • Grade 11th – 12th: Scientific stream and Literary stream 65% or above.
     

International Program

  • Grade 7th – 8th: Admission Average 60% or above.
  • Grade 9th – 12th: IG 65% or above and ACT 60% or above.

Incoming students transferred from schools inside Jordan are not allowed to register without first being interviewed and sitting for a placement test to get to know about their conduct and the reason behind their transfer.

 A new student is required to receive a special form from the registration office at Oxford Schools and have it completed by the student’s former school. The form includes a report on the student’s academic achievement, his/her behavior and conduct, and financial clearance.

Returning Students:

Returning students from 7th – 11th Grades are not registered unless on the recommendation of the immediate principals based on their conduct and commitment to rules and regulations.

Students from 7th – 12th Grades are not allowed to register in the International system unless they have attained a 75% Average or above in English.

Registration Required Documents for New Students at Oxford Schools.

Documents required for First Grade:

  • Birth Certificate certified by the Civil Status Department bearing the National Number (Jordanian Nationality)
  • Two personal photos
  • A copy of the immunization card
  • Non-Jordanians must bring an original certificate of birth certified by the embassy of the country they hold its nationality and a copy of their residence permit.

Documents Required for the 2nd – 11th Grade Students:

Students trasfering from private schools inside Jordan:

            Once the student is accepted at our schools she/he must bring her/his entire file containing:

  • Transfer certificate, certified by the Directorate of Education of University District/ Capital Governorate to which our schools belong to latest school report.
  • Annual transcripts for students coming from private schools.
  • Student’s school record.
  • A copy of the birth certificate certified by the Civil Status Department bearing the National Number (Jordanian Nationality).
  • A copy of the immunization card.
  • A copy of the student’s valid passport (non-Jordanians).
  • A copy of a valid annual residence permit (non-Jordanians).
  • Four personal photos.
  • The Students file must be transferred via the e-learning system OpenEmis.
  • Medical clearance certificate.

Students coming from public (government) schools or from another Governorate:

  • Once the student is accepted at our schools s/he must bring his entire file containing:
  • Transfer certificate certified by the Directorate of Education his/her former school belongs to, then by the Directorate of Education of the University District/ Capital Governorate to which our schools belong.
  •  Latest school report.
  • Student’s school record.
  • A copy of the birth certificate certified by the Civil Status Department bearing the National Number (Jordanian Nationality).
  • A copy of the immunization card.
  • A copy of the student’s valid passport (non-Jordanians).
  • A copy of a valid annual residence permits (non-Jordanians).
  • Four personal photos.
  • Students file must be transferred via the e-learning system OpenEmis.
  • Medical clearance certificate.

Basic 10th Grade Students:

In addition to the above mentioned documents, students must bring their school reports for the 8thand 9th grades to assist in their categorization for grade 11.

Students Coming from Abroad:

  • Foreign Countries:
  • Students should submit their original certificate and have them authenticated by:
    • The ministry of Education in their country.
    • The Embassy of Jordan in their country (if not, they have to be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affair of their country).
  • Then they must be certified by the certificate equivalence section at the Ministry of Education.
  •  Once the student is approved and accepted into our schools s/ he must have his/her original certificates authenticated by the Directorate of Education of the University District/ Capital Governorate.
  • A copy of the birth certificate certified by the Civil Status Department bearing National Number.
  • A copy of the immunization card.
  • A copy of the students valid passport (non-Jordanians).
  • A copy of a valid annual residence permit (non-Jordanians).
  •  Four personal photos.
  •  Medical Clearance Report.

Students coming from the U.S.A

Must bring their original certified student report sealed from their school and authenticated from the Amideast – Jordan. Once Oxford approves the students thens/ he must have his/her original certificates authenticated by the Directorate of Education of the University District/ Capital Governorate.

Arab Countries:
  • Student’s latest school report certified by:
    •  The Ministry of Education in his/her country
    • The Embassy of Jordan in his/her country
    • Then it must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jordan and the embassy of his/her country
  • The latest school report must be certified by the Examinations and Tests Department/ Ministry of Education.
  • It must also be certified by the Directorate of Education of the University District/ Capital Governorate once our school's consent and acceptance have been obtained
  • A copy of the birth certificate certified by the Civil Status Department bearing National Number
  • A copy of the immunization card
  •  A copy of the student’s valid passport (non-Jordanians)
  • A copy of a valid annual residence permit (non-Jordanians)
  • Four personal photos
  • Medical clearance certificate

Oxford Schools Scholarship Policy for the National and International Sections:

Aiming to attract the greatest number of outstanding and distinguished students, Oxford Schools grants full scholarships at the beginning of every school year inclusive of tuition, transportation, textbooks, and school uniform. 

The Scholarship policy is as follows:

  •  A student who obtains a 90% average in grade 10 or first secondary grade is eligible to sit for the scholarship test held at the beginning of every school year.
  • The scholarship tests for the firs and second secondary grades of the regular section in Arabic, English, and Math is held under the supervision of the academic department
  • A student who obtains a 95% average or above is awarded a full scholarship inclusive of tuition, transportation, school uniform and textbooks.
  •  A student whose average is less than 95% and above 90% is awarded 75% of the scholarship inclusive of only the tuition fees.
  •  A student whose average is less than 90% and above 85% is awarded 50% of the scholarship inclusive of the tuition fees only.
  •  The student’s guardian undertakes to pay the tuition in full if the student’s average falls back by 5% of the average on the basis on which s/he was awarded the scholarship for. The letter of undertaking is to be completed on registration and can be obtained from the office of the financial manager.
  • The student loses his/her scholarship if s/he is subjected to a punishment via the school’s Council of Discipline.

The International Section:

Students graduating from the International Section (High School Diploma) will be rewarded if ranked in the top ten in the same program all over the kingdom after completing the ministry of education certificate equivalency requirements.

Students excelling in sports are encouraged through awarding them scholarships based on obtaining championships at the kingdom’s level, these include tuition, transportation, books, and school uniform and are renewed annually if the student obtains a championship.
The schools have set up plans to follow up students who have been awarded scholarships to ensure that they maintain their excellence in achievement and academic programs.

Discount Policy

  • The discount and incentives policy for the school year is as follows:
  •  Siblings are granted an incentive discount of 10% for the first brother/sister, 15% for the second brother/sister, and 20% for the third brother/sister.
  • Children of the members of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Civil Defense, and Intelligence are given a 20% discount.
  • Children of employees in shareholding companies, trade unions, banks and embassies are granted a 20% discount.
  • Children of Oxford Schools staff members are granted a 50% discount when enrolled in the national program and a 40% discount when enrolled in the International programs.
  • Outstanding students from 6th grade and above are granted an additional 20% discount for students ranking first in class sections and 15% discount for those ranking second and third in class sections.
  • An outstanding student from grade six and above is given an additional 15% discount if s/he ranks first in his/her class only.
  • Students who pay their fees in full during registration are granted a 5% discount.
